Accounting Analyst | $115K-$130K + Bonus
Investment Management | 20-30% Target Bonus Range + Profit Sharing + Exceptional Benefits
I'm working on an exciting opportunity with an established investment management firm seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its finance team.
This role combines investment and fund accounting, portfolio performance analysis, client reporting, and data-driven process improvement. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and leverage technology, automation, and analytics to make a meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
Perform fund accounting and client reporting for separately managed accounts (SMAs)
Prepare financial reporting schedules and support annual financial statement audits
Reconcile daily cash activity, monitor investment cash flows, and support month-end close
Reconcile investment market values and analyze portfolio and investment performance
Partner with investment teams, shadow accountants, and data analytics professionals to ensure accurate, timely reporting
Normalize and prepare large datasets for upload into accounting systems
Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting, reconciliation, data collection, and reporting processes
Requirements
Who They're Looking For
2-3+ years of accounting or financial services experience, ideally in investment management, public accounting, audit, or tax
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and large datasets
Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, and data integrity
A technology-oriented mindset with an interest in automation, systems, and process improvement
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of complex issues
Familiarity with fund, partnership, or investment accounting is a plus
